Overview
The 2026 Palisade represents a big swing from Hyundai. Citing feedback from its loyal customers, the manufacturer has completely reimagined the Palisade, inside and out. A bolder exterior and a family-focused interior featuring increased third-row legroom and seating for up to eight are headlining features, as is the all-new Palisade Hybrid. Hyundai proudly touts it as the only three-row SUV with greater than 300 horsepower and 30 mpg fuel efficiency, a distinction bound to draw much attention over the coming months.
All told, the 2026 Palisade represents a stylish, luxurious next-generation premium SUV offering.

Who’s It For?
While Hyundai is betting on the new Palisade to offer broad appeal, its focus is on families that don’t want to make tradeoffs between safety, comfort, convenience, and luxury. This is a machine designed to be as at home in the garage as it is parked in front of a five-star hotel. Hyundai’s mantra here is “affordability meets lifestyle,” and they’ve focused on the passenger experience for occupants in all three rows, making the latest Palisade a useful, upscale vehicle that meets real needs, yet looks and feels premium throughout.
Luxury-minded. Family-focused. That’s the name of the game here.
What’s New for 2026?
The all-new, first-ever 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is the big headliner this year, featuring enhanced efficiency and greater power versus other trims. Its 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine is backed by two electric motors for greater efficiency.
The new features aren’t limited to the Hybrid model, however. All trims sport a bold, sophisticated new exterior, with a shorter front overhang, longer wheelbase, and sculpted fenders for a more commanding presence.
Inside, the 2026 Hyundai Palisade is once again a space designed for the family, taking inspiration from premium furniture. The center console has been redesigned to fit a full-size purse. Second and third-row seating operations can now be controlled from the driver’s seat. Bench and captain's chairs are available in the second row — the choice is yours. Additionally, the increased third-row legroom and enlarged cargo area are welcome additions.
Real World Performance
The all-new Palisade Hybrid features a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine backed by two electric motors, with an estimated 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, it offers up to 34 mpg combined and a total driving range of approximately 600 miles. The Palisade Hybrid also supplies a 4000-pound towing capacity with its factory-installed hitch.
Hyundai’s non-hybrid models don’t skimp on performance, either. Each offers a 3.5L V6 engine with 287 horsepower, an eight-speed automatic, and a towing capacity of up to 5000 pounds.
Finally, there’s the 2026 Hyundai Palisade XRT Pro. This new trim enables the Palisade to take on the outdoors without compromising its premium presence. This more rugged variant features 18-inch all-terrain tires, one inch higher ground clearance, and a front and rear recovery hook.
